What are the training Programmes at Accounting Career Connect?
There are two different training programmes:
- BAS Accountant Job Ready Programme (Full Time 3 months) (Part Time 6 months) suitable for fresh Graduates from BBus/BCom (Accounting), GradDip in Professional Accounting, Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting or Master of Professional Accounting (Training Fee: $5750.00 + $1138.00 Job Search Fee + 20% of First Year Salary upon signing Employment Agreement with Employers, paid monthly aligning with your salary, no cash up front)
- Office Manager Job Ready Programme (Full Time 6 Weeks) (Part Time 12 Weeks) suitable for Graduates of NZDB, BBus/BCom (Management or non-accounting major) GDip Business L 7, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration or MBA (Training Fee; $2,500.00 + $500.00 Job Search Fee + 20% of First Year Salary upon signing Employment Agreement with Employers, paid monthly aligning with your salary, no cash up front)

What is Accounting Career Connect's point of difference?
- You are trained and mentored by team of BAS Accountant at KC Partners Chartered Accountants that led by Kevin CHIV who is a registered Mentor with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (CAANZ), holding Certificate of Public Practice, a full member of CPA Australia, and with over 10 years of Chartered Accountancy practices experience
- We provide Training + Live Clients local accounting experience + Job Placement Assistance in one package to assist you in your Accounting Career until you land an Accounting Job in New Zealand. 98% of our trainees are in full time accounting jobs.
- Training is role-oriented: you immersed yourself in the actual role of Junior Accountant in the first month, filing basic GST/PAYE returns and promoted to Intermediate Accountant in the second months, becoming expertise in GST/PAYE/FBT filing and begins to complete draft Annual Accounts. In the third month, you will be performing role of Senior Accountant, completing Annual Accounts up to final draft ready for Partner’s reviews and sign off and prepare Income Tax Returns. You will learn the current uptodate softwares that are used by all CA firms in New Zealand: MYOB AO, Xero, BankLink, AcePayroll, Smart Payroll, Spotlight-used by Big4. You will experience the actual use of IRD-web system, Accounts Look up, IR-file and E-file
- You will become an independent accountant after the training, able to file GST/PAYE/FBT/Income Tax Returns for clients with the knowledge of Business and Tax Struture

We do not provide job guarantee for legal reasons, but through the training, work experience and the job prep seminars, you will develop both technical competency, skills and soft skills that see yourself being successful in interview and landing a job with employer. From our past experience, 98% of our trainees are in jobs right now. If you go through the process of Training + Interview Coaching+ our job placement assistance process + attending interviews, you will be as successful as our past candidates are.

How many days a week do I need to commit for the training?
BAS Account Job Ready:
- Full Time (3months) is from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (if you needs to pick up kids, you may leave early or start a bit late)
- Part Time (6 months) is on Saturday (from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) and Sunday (from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm)
- Part Time (Flexi Day and Time): you could schedule it around your day off from work provided you complete a total of 480 Hours of training and work experience

Do I train in classroom settings?
No. You are trained in a Board Room settings and then be assigned to your office work station to complete tasks and practice on live clients with hands-on work experience.

Do you support us with a visa?
We do not sponsor any visa. Accounting Career Connect is an industrial initiative and we are not a registered school.

I've got years of experience, can I go straight to Job Search Assistance?
We only assist Job Search for Trainees that have undergone training with us so that we know their abilities. It is important that you obtain local experience even though you may have had overseas accounting experience. The training at Accounting Career Connect will build a bridge across to your past experience and enhance your credibility, employability and attractiveness to New Zealand employers.
